Flint Chapter

There were 5 choruses and umpteen quartets who sang including Sufficient Grounds and Patch Chords from the Lansing Chapter. S. G. sang Brand New Day and Mary Lou while the Patch Chords with “subbies” D. Horton on Bari and Don Terpe on Tenor sang I Want A Girl and you guessed it? Lion Sleeps Tonight.

Everybody seemed to have a GREAT time with the Brats, Beer and Chips. Ron Gilles did his usual FINE job pulling off the Show Part of the evening and Dave Lounsbury, Jack Stevens, John Noteware and many other Flint Chapter Members made sure everybody got food and drinks etc.

Reese Olger made the trip and got to sing a few with the Chord-Agains with fill in Don Terpe. Special Thanks to Don Terpe for attending as he was our only TENOR. Reese also got to sing a couple of songs with his grandson Chandler who arrived from Oklahoma on Tuesday afternoon just in time for he and Mother Elisse to joint in the FUN!!!

Flint Arrowhead Chorus

by Don Horton

Tuesday June 24th at the JC Pavilion in Heritage Park in Frankenmuth

Thanks to the 22 singers and 8 wives who participated in the Flint Chapters Annual Dead Creek Saloon out last Tuesday in Frankenmuth.

The Lansing Chapter Chorus was saved to the last Chorus and under the direction of Stevie "Wonder" Waarnar, we WOWED them with It had to be You and I'll Fly Away.

Next year let plan now to take 35 guys and at least 15 wives. Make plans now to attend the Grand Rapids Chapter's annual CORN ROAST in August.

This next report by Doug Pearson.

I'm sure I share the feelings of all who attended when I say that I had one great time last night (Tuesday) at the Flint Chapter's Annual Dead Creek Picnic in Frankenmuth.

The timing was perfect with musical fireworks serving as a perfect intro to our Fourth of July celebrations. What a super turnout of chapter choruses and quartets from all over! Brats, beer and barbershop. You can't beat that combination. Congratulations to Ron Gillies and his hard-working Flint crew for pulling it all together.
