Barbershop was preformed regularly in the Cheboygan Opera House for many years and was always a favorite until about 15 years ago when some of the singers were no longer able to perform and the show could not be produced. Since then, the choruses in Alpena and Gaylord have carried on and worked very hard to preserve the barbershop harmony craft in Northern Michigan. Last year they rekindled the tradition with a moving performance. They are thrilled at the opportunity to once again bring barbershop back to Cheboygan, and ring some chords in our beautiful opera house which just happens to be an incredible, acoustically perfect venue.
